As a grassroots refugee-led organization, we intimately understand the struggles and strengths of our community. We believe that sustainable change comes from within a community empowered to help themselves.

This year, we’ve provided over 749 direct services to more than 200 families in greatest need. In real terms, this means that 15 families avoided homelessness, over 50 families found jobs, 309 received flu shots, and over 90 refugee youth increased their basic math and reading skills in our after school SPARK program.

Please join us in ensuring our newest Iowans have access to food, shelter, warm clothing, education and health care. Everyone deserves a chance at the American Dream!
Please help make Iowa’s first winter a warm, welcoming one!

$25 for a monthly refugee bus pass to get to school and work

$50 for blankets for a family of four during their first Iowa winter

$100 for a sewing machine to help women learn skills and earn
income through the Community Fabric Project.

$400 for educational supplies and materials for 20 students
in our SPARK reading and math after school program.
