The Youth Navigator Program is a peer to peer social learning model with a focus on leadership, academic and workforce readiness through trainings and service projects. Youth Navigators are 16-24 year olds from the refugee community who are passionate about community service, academic achievement, and professional development. The Refugee Youth Navigator Program Activities include: 1:1 mentorship Literacy coaches Service learning Summer reading camp Parent education and engagement Select Youth Navigators also undergo training as literacy coaches and support learning activities for elementary students once a week at Irving Elementary School, and during a 6-week summer camp.
